Request Loft (low loft) is lightweight and exceptionally smooth, making it ideal for hand quilting, micro-stitching, and detailed work where precision matters; it’s also a favorite for summer quilts, baby items, and table linens.

Select Loft (mid loft) is the most popular choice, offering a soft, balanced drape that works beautifully for both hand and machine quilting—perfect for everyday quilts, garments, and versatile projects.

Deluxe Loft (heavier loft) adds noticeable weight and warmth, enhancing stitch definition and giving quilts a more substantial feel, making it a great option for bed quilts, bags, and decorative pieces.

Supreme Loft (highest loft) is thick, dense, and luxurious, with extra volume that creates bold texture and maximum warmth—ideal for statement quilts, cold-weather use, and projects where you want added dimension and presence.

Quilters Dream Cotton Batting is made from 100% pure cotton, using only the finest long-staple USA fibers. The cotton is mechanically cleaned—never chemically treated—then carefully carded, crosslapped, and needle-punched to create a batting that’s both exceptionally strong and soft. With no scrim, resin, or glue, it offers a natural, consistent quality that allows for smooth stitching and a beautiful drape in every finished quilt.

Designed for versatility and performance, this batting can be quilted as closely as desired or up to 8 inches apart without shifting or lumping. It provides excellent insulation (R=3.8), keeping quilts warm in winter while remaining breathable in warmer months. Environmentally friendly and free of additives, it’s easy to work with by hand or machine, and finished quilts can be machine washed and dried with minimal shrinkage—no prewashing required.

Cotton is available in all four lofts. We carry Deluxe Loft as a standard offering but can order the others upon request. A lead time may be associated with these requests.

Each fiber is carefully blended, carded, crosslapped, and needle-punched—without harsh chemicals—resulting in a smooth, breathable batting with an unmatched silky drape that elevates any finished quilt.

What sets Dream Bamboo apart is its thoughtfully balanced fiber blend. Bamboo provides a soft, breathable base with natural moisture-wicking and antibacterial qualities, keeping quilts comfortable year-round. Tussah “peace” silk adds strength, resilience, and a refined softness, while Tencel®—derived from sustainably sourced eucalyptus—enhances durability, wrinkle resistance, and that signature silky feel. High-grade USA cotton ties it all together, adding stability and a familiar, breathable structure that ensures consistent performance for even the most detailed quilting projects.

Dream Bamboo offers both beauty and versatility in use.
